pumphouse creamery

My love for ice cream runs deep. I blame my parents for this. Growing up we frequented little ice cream shops in the area and with each visit my love for ice cream grew.
So when I heard about Pumphouse Creamery, it took every ounce of self control not to hop in the car and drive there that very minute. I was probably at work anyway.

Our friend Lee was in town from California. Perfect excuse for some ice cream, no? Not that I need an excuse.

There are so many reasons why I love Pumphouse. Here are just a few:
They source local ingredients, including organic cream.
They make everything from scratch
They use biodegradable containers

Here is an excerpt from their website:
"In order to produce the freshest quality all-natural ice cream possible, we focus on sourcing our ingredients from local farmers and businesses who are committed to conservation efforts and the advancements of food integrity."

"In addition, we do not purchase bases or mixes pre-made, everything here is made from scratch. In the age of processed foods, it’s good to have a homemade treat that is wholesome, delicious, and brings us back to the way food should be."

Ummm....they're awesome.
