Last year, when my dad turned 50, we threw a big party.
This year, when my mom turned 50, we did not throw a party. Because my mom didn't want a party. And she was the birthday girl after all.
So we had to come up with something else that would make her feel special and loved.
We planned a birthday "day-o-fun"
Here's the rundown:
The ladies of the family hit up a tea house in white bear lake called the Avalon Tea Room. It was amazing. If you are female or you know a female *(that should be all of you...) please make reservations for a formal tea. it's so fun! I was having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures while there. Rats!
*Please excuse my sexist comment. Men are of course welcome at the tea house.
After enjoying tea, scones and quiche, we grabbed the boys and headed to the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
I heart art museums.
At this point we were all hungry and a little peopled out since the museum was packed.
So we hit the road and ended up at the Global Market! If you haven't been there yet, please go. You wont regret it.
we ate here:
Aren't my parents just the cutest??
Aren't these two random girls I found just the cutest??
Happy Birthday Mom!! We love you to the moon and back!
