Max goes to Macy's

Before we met my parents at the Macy's holiday display, we had a little time to explore the skyways. Max just started walking (!!) so he loved the wide open spaces to practice his new skill.

Don't be fooled by the blank look on Max's face in all these photos. He loved it!

Look at how tiny Max was last year at the Macy's display!!

you better watch out, you better not cry

Max and Juliet saw Santa together. They did not love it.

Things started off innocent enough.

Everyone was having a good time.

But things quickly unraveled

Juliet took a moment to collect herself leaving Max alone with the bearded man

She came back and things were even worse!

And of course the picture that I'm sure everyone has seen, the one we purchased, one of the funniest pictures I've seen:

I've been told every parent needs a picture like this, where your child is completely terrified and looks at you with total disbelief at your abandonment. Check.

cookie making extravaganza

The time has come once again for my entire family to get together to make Christmas cookies! It was a little sad not having it at my grandparent's house this year. This holiday season will be filled with little sad moments as we adjust to the idea of their house being sold and not holding all of our holiday fun there. But we still had a great time as always!

tree time!

I love Christmas and I love traditions and I love picking out a tree. We scored the perfect one today. It's a real gem! We went to a little family run garden center by our house called Malmborg's. They were awesome!

Max helping to pick out the perfect tree

Seeing trees hung from the ceiling always disturbs me a little.

Such a good looking family!

Helping daddy put the tree stand together

Here she is! Isn't she a beaut?

We had a light issue tonight so we couldn't do our decorating, but I'll be sure to post pics of the finished product soon!
